When you pay through Wampo5, the seller does not get the money the moment you get the item. We hold it for 48 hours so you can open the box, plug it in and be sure. If something is wrong in that time, you get your money back.
How it works
No part of this is discretionary. It is how every marketplace-collected order on Wampo5 is settled.
Your payment goes to Wampo5, not to the seller. They can see that the order is paid, which is what gets them packing, but they cannot touch the money.
They dispatch, deliver or hand the item over. The money is still ours. Nothing about the handover releases it.
The clock starts when the item reaches you. Check it properly. If anything is wrong, say so from your order page and the payment freezes on the spot.
Window closed with nothing raised? The money moves to the seller's balance automatically. You do not need to confirm anything for that to happen.
Coverage
This is the single most important thing on this page, so it is not buried in the small print.
Any order you pay for through Wampo5 checkout: card, mobile money, or your Wampo5 balance. We are holding that money, so we can give it back.
Anything you pay the seller for directly. Cash on delivery, cash on collection, a transfer straight to their account, or a deal arranged off Wampo5. That money never reached us, so we cannot return it to you. There is nothing to hold and nothing to release.
If a seller asks you to pay them outside Wampo5, that is the warning sign. It is almost always framed as a discount or a way to skip a fee. What it actually does is remove your protection. Pay through checkout and the money stays with us until you have your item.
Dispute resolution
One route, the same for everybody, with the clock stated at every step.
From your order, choose the reason that fits and add photos or a short video. Your payment freezes the moment you file, so it cannot reach the seller while the case runs.
Every complaint goes to the seller first, whatever the reason. There are no automatic refunds behind their back. If they agree, you are refunded immediately. If they say nothing, you are refunded anyway when their time runs out.
If the seller disputes it, a Wampo5 reviewer reads both accounts and the evidence, aiming to decide within 72 hours. They record a written finding before any money moves.
The full amount lands in your Wampo5 wallet. Nothing is deducted for processing, and where the fault was the seller's the delivery charge comes back too.
The seller is paid what the sale was always worth to them. You are told the outcome, and the case is closed.
Either side can appeal once, and it goes to a different reviewer from the one who decided it. If a buyer wins an appeal after the seller was paid, Wampo5 covers it. We never take money back out of a balance.
On these the sale cannot be reinstated. Once a reviewer finds the item was faulty or not what was listed, no amount of seller argument turns it back into a good sale.
Changing your mind is not a fault, and the van still drove. On these the delivery charge is not refunded, and it is released to the seller.
For sellers
Buyer protection is only worth having if it is fair in both directions.
Your money is released automatically once the buyer's window closes. No request, no approval, no waiting on a person. Track every pending payout, to the hour, under Finance and Upcoming funds.
Because the wait exists, Wampo5 never has to reach into a balance you have already been paid. Once money lands, it is yours. That is the whole reason the release is delayed rather than reversed.
No complaint is settled without you. You get 48 hours to agree or dispute, with your own evidence, and a Wampo5 reviewer weighs both sides before anything moves.
If a buyer simply changes their mind and the item was not sold as refundable, you keep the sale, and the delivery charge with it.
One appeal, to a different reviewer, within 7 days. If it goes your way after the buyer was refunded, Wampo5 pays you. The buyer is not charged again.
Most of your customers have never met you. BuySafe is why they are willing to pay before they see the goods, and why a first order happens at all.
The small print, unbolded
Stated here so nobody discovers it at the worst possible moment.
Cash, direct transfers and off-platform deals are outside BuySafe entirely. This is the one worth repeating.
Getting a rejected item back to the seller, and who pays to move it, is between you and the seller. A refund does not automatically put the item back on sale either, because we cannot know where it physically is.
After 48 hours the money is the seller's and the reject button is gone. A problem you find later is a support matter, not an automatic refund. Faults covered by a manufacturer warranty stay with the manufacturer.
You reject a whole line. If you ordered three and one is broken, say so in your reason and the reviewer will take it into account.
Refunds are paid into a Wampo5 wallet, so guest orders cannot use the self-service route. If you checked out as a guest and something is wrong, contact support and a person will settle it.
Not back to the card or mobile money account you paid with. From the wallet you can spend it or withdraw it under the normal withdrawal rules.
Pay through Wampo5 and your money stays with us until you have what you ordered.
