What you may not list
Most of what people sell is completely fine. This page is the short list of what is not, so nobody finds out by having a listing removed.
Groups marked Checked automatically are screened on every photo and every listing as it is published. The rest are enforced when somebody reports a listing, or when a moderator reviews it.
This list is not exhaustive. If something is illegal in Zimbabwe, assume it is not allowed here either.
Illegal drugs and paraphernalia
Checked automaticallyControlled substances of any kind, and the equipment for using them.
- Cannabis, cocaine, heroin, mandrax, crystal meth and any other controlled substance
- Codeine cough syrups and other medicines sold for recreational use
- Bongs, pipes, rolling papers and other drug paraphernalia
- Anything advertised as a legal high or research chemical
Alcohol

- Beer, wine, spirits, ciders and home-brewed alcohol
- Listings whose photos show alcoholic drinks as the item for sale
Glassware, decanters, bar furniture and alcohol-free drinks are all fine. If a photo of them is flagged by mistake, reply to the email and we will put it back.
Nudity, sexual content and sexual services
Checked automaticallyWampo5 is a general marketplace used by families.
- Nudity or sexually explicit photos of any kind
- Pornography in any format, including links and accounts
- Sex toys, sex dolls and similar products
- Escort work, massage-with-extras and any other sexual service
Weapons and dangerous goods
On report or reviewEnforced on report and on review.
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives and their component parts
- Knives and blades sold as weapons rather than as tools
- Fireworks, corrosives and other hazardous materials
Stolen, counterfeit and fraudulent goods
On report or reviewThe most common cause of an account being closed outright.
- Stolen property, including phones and vehicles without proof of ownership
- Counterfeit clothing, footwear, electronics and accessories sold as genuine
- Forged documents, identity cards, certificates and number plates
- Cloned or hacked accounts, card details, and personal data
Regulated goods and services
On report or reviewNot banned everywhere, but not sellable here without the licence that governs them.
- Prescription-only medicines and unregistered health products
- Protected and endangered wildlife, ivory and related products
- Human remains, organs and bodily fluids
- Gambling, lotteries, and money-multiplying or pyramid schemes
If you get it wrong
An honest mistake is not treated like a deliberate one
A bottle in the background of a furniture photo happens. So does a word that means something innocent in your listing and something else on our list.
We hide, not delete
A photo that fails a check stops showing to buyers. Your listing stays on sale and nothing is deleted until a person has looked at it.
You are told what and why
An email names the category and the part of the listing involved, and tells you what to change.
You can appeal
Reply to the email, or open the resolution centre from your seller dashboard. A person reads it.
